Robotics Competition

posted Apr 17, 2012, 2:42 PM by Heather Hall Ramsey

Last Saturday, 4 teams of students from Mountain Island competed in their first ever robotics competition.  The competition followed the guidelines of the First Lego League Food Factor Challenge.  As part of this, students spent the year researching a food that could be found in their household and how it becomes contaminated.  They developed an innovative solution for this problem and then created a presentation to showcase their work.  Students also participated in a team work challenge and then competed in a very exciting robotics run show off.  There were 21 teams that participated in this event and all of our teams did a great job.
